On Friday, May 1st we held our annual luncheon at Evviva in Narberth. PCADV’s annual event brought together members, sponsors and guests. We enjoyed an afternoon of networking, camaraderie and a renowned guest speaker, Mr. Bobby Rydell. Our luncheon was made possible by the support of our sponsors, we thank our Gold Sponsors: Abramson Center for Jewish Life, Rosemont Presby Inspired for Life, Inglis House and Mainline Medical Supplies and our Silver Sponsors: Brandywine Senior Living, Cathedral Village, Dunwoody Home Care, ROS Center, Waverly Care Associates and Mercy Home Health with Mercy Life; all of the above organizations support a rich tradition of service, advocacy and support for seniors and their families.
Our keynote speaker, Philadelphia’s native son, Mr. Bobby Rydell shared his personal journey as an organ recipient while bringing awareness to the thousands of individuals awaiting organ donation. Mr. Rydell discussed his music career, spanning 60 years and entertained us with an a cappella version of “Volare”. He is a natural story teller with a great sense of humor and spent time with our members and guests, answering questions, signing autographs and posing for pictures. Our thanks again to Bobby, his wife Linda Ridarelli and his Fan Club Manager Linda Hoffmann for their time and generosity.
As we look to the future year, plans are underway to celebrate our Tenth Anniversary. The Executive Board is working on provocative and timely topics for our monthly meetings and a birthday celebration in the upcoming year.
As a Board, we thank our membership for their on-going support and for another successful year; we are truly grateful to the remarkable group of members whose collective actions deserve our deepest thanks and appreciation.
Warmest regards,
Paula Goy-Severino
